Mubariz Zeynalov was born on 18 March, 1945, in Ganja city, after eight years of establishment of the club Neftchi. He was much interested in football since his childhood. Mubariz Zeynalov was invited to a club when he was 15-16 years old by his neighbor Aga Abbasov who was a footballer of Alüminium Zavodu. Mubariz played in this team for a while and on his 17th was involved to the Ganja’s club "Dinamo”, which participated in the second division of USSR championship. In 1964, he was involved to "Dinamo”s first team and a year later after that Zeynalov played a key role in the qualification to the first division of USSR Chanpionship.
In May 1966, Dinamo – Krasnador game was taken place in Baku. After that game, president of the club Neftchi, the head coach Vasily Sokolov, as well as the councilor of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet Tofig Bagirov offered Mubariz Zeynalov and Nizami Salahov both to stay in Neftchi. Zeynalov played a key role for winning bronze medals of Netchi, who appeared in total of 20 matches till the end of season. Despite of joining to the team in May, he was one of 12 players who received bronze medal due to his key role in team’s 20 games that was more than 50% of all matches.
That time in one of newspapers’ article dedicated to the honor of the English footballer Ball, an article was written about Mubariz Zeynalov called "Azerbaijan Bolu”. However, due to an injury in his knee in 1968, Zeynalov did not play for a year. He began to play after second half of that season in 1969. But he could demonstrate the same performance due to his injury in knee. For this reason, he separated his way with Netchi in 1972 and continued his career in Ganja till 1974, and his career ended when he was just 29 years old.
However, Mubariz Zeynalov did not fall apart from his favorite sport. In 1992, Zeynalov was one of the first coaches of the national team of Azerbaijan with Ruslan Abdullayev and Aghasalim Mirjavadov. He was appointed as a coach to the club Kapaz in 1993. Mubariz Zeynalov was a member of the PFC Netchi Supervisory Board from 31 March, 2015 till the last day of his life (8 August).
