- Voislav, you have been away from your homeland for a long time due to the pandemic. After all, longing is over. How do you feel now?

- Yes, I was away from my homeland for a year. Finally, after the break, I was able to go home. After a long time I saw my parents and friends. I finished some unfinished work in Serbia. I already feel better psychologically.

- We finished the first match with a victory after the winter break ...

- It is very important to start the championship in the new year with a victory. It was not easy, because the first game after the break is usually difficult. I am very happy that we won.

- You have been wearing Neftchi's uniform for two seasons. During this period, you played 38 games and scored 1 goal. Can the ball you scored against our main rival Karabakh in the fight for the championship be considered the most important goal in your career?

- Yes, I have been playing for Neftchi for two years. It is comfortable and pleasant for me to play here. Because like Partizan, which I defended in Serbia, Neftchi's colors are black and white. I love the black and white uniform. This season is very good for me and my team, but we have to play better. As for the goal I scored against Karabakh, it was a good goal and a share in the victory, but I believe that I will score an even more important goal in the future.

- Even if Neftchi moves from a four-defender system to a three-defender system, you can keep your place in the main squad. What do you think about it?

- I am completely satisfied with the three-defense system. I think I play better in this system. But we are all professional footballers and we will play in any system chosen by the head coach. The fact that we are currently using a three-defensive system shows that we are playing better and more stable. We must continue like this.

- After the change of head coach, our team rose to the leadership and is considered one of the main candidates for the championship. What do you think Samir Abasov brought to Neftchi?

- The new head coach has a new system. This system allows us to play better both in defense and attack. We demonstrate beautiful and stable football. Each of us understands what the head coach wants from us. Samir Abasov is emotional and personal. The current results show that we are on the right path and must go further.

- Along with the championship, our team continues to fight for the cup. In the quarterfinals we will meet the winner of the pair "Garadagh Lokbatan" - "Zira". What can you say about this?

- We respect all teams, but most likely our opponent in the cup will be "Zira". Neftchi sets big goals every season. This year we will fight for both the championship and the cup, and I believe that we will finally be able to win the title. Neftchi stopped the fight in the quarterfinals of the last two cup competitions. I believe we will move forward until the end of this season.

- For some reason, the games are held without fans. Probably, you are also waiting for the day when the fans will come to the stadium and support our team in the stands ...

- Of course! It's hard and boring to play football without fans. Not only me and my teammates, but all members of other clubs want the stands to be full of fans. Because football becomes more interesting. I believe that the pandemic period will end soon and fans will come to the stadium.
