He was born on February 9, 1990 in Baku. He started his youth career in "Neftçi" when he was 6 years old. Huseynov won the Azerbaijan championship with U-19 and B teams of "white and blacks" and I Division with "Garadagh Lokbatan". He also played in "Simurg", "Neftchala" and "Gala" clubs.

Although he ended his career at the age of 25, his love for football brought him back to this sport. In addition working as head coach and assistant coach in teams of different age groups of "Ravan", "Zira" and "Sabah", Rashad Huseynov performed as assistant coach in A team of "Sabah" and became a winner of domestic championship as assistant coach in U-19 team of "Ravan".

He has a UEFA "A" category coaching license.
