A memorial plaque was unveiled at Bakcell Arena today to immortalize the names of Neftchi fans killed in the 44-day war. The event was attended by a member of the Supervisory Board of PFC "Neftchi" Samad Gurbanov, club president Kamran Guliyev, vice-president Elnur Eyvazov, parents of martyrs, club and team members.

After commemorating the souls of our martyrs with a minute of silence, the National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan was played. Then the president of the club Kamran Guliyev shared his memories of our martyrs, members of the "Neftchi" family, and spoke about their support. The parents of the martyrs spoke about the love of their heroic children for football, especially for Neftchi. After that, a memorial plaque was unveiled with the participation of the martyr's parents.

It should be noted that the "Memorial Board" contains the names of 4 martyrs of "Neftchi" - Major Rufat Asgarov, senior lieutenant Teymur Majidzade, soldier Afig Gulamli and Asim Guliyev.
