Today is Armed Forces Day in Azerbaijan. On June 26, 1918, by decision of Azerbaijan Democratic Republic, which was established on May 28, 1918, the first military unit - a separate corps - was created. According to the decision of the President of Azerbaijan dated May 22, 1998, June 26 was declared the Day of Armed Forces of Republic of Azerbaijan.
