Sadig Sadigov was the president of PFC "Neftchi" in 2010-2015.

During this period, the team won the Azerbaijani championship (2010/2011, 2011/2012, 2012/2013) and the cup (2012/2013, 2013/2014). In 2012, for the first time in the history of Azerbaijani football, Neftchi participated in the group stage of a prestigious tournament such as the Europa League.

He was awarded an honorary title and medal by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev for his services in sports. In 2008 he was awarded the honorary title of "Honored Worker of Physical Culture and Sports" of the Republic of Azerbaijan, and in 2011 he was awarded the "Progress" medal.

Sadig Sadigov, currently the head of the management office of the Neftchi Sports Club Public Union, is a member of the Executive Committee of the Azerbaijan National Olympic Committee and vice-president of the Azerbaijan Judo Federation.
