1937

Neftyanik football club has been established.

March 15 - The approved regulations of the USSR championship were sent to Baku by telegram.

March 21 - The first information about Neftyanik was published in the "Azerbaijan Bodybuilder" newspaper.

May 24 - Our team played its first official match, defeating Dinamo Yerevan 1-0 in the 1/64 finals of the USSR Cup. The winning goal was scored by Pavel Stirlin in the 87th minute of the match, which took place at the Dinamo Stadium in Baku.

1949

April 17 - Neftyanik, which started to compete in the high league of the USSR championship, won the first match. The Moscow Air Force team was defeated at the VI Lenin Stadium in Baku - 1: 0. The only goal was scored by Victor Anoshkin.

1966

November 30 - Our team took 3rd place in the USSR championship and was awarded bronze medals.

1968

The club was officially renamed Neftchi.

1992

May 8 - Started to compete in the first independent Azerbaijani championship.

October 24 - The winner of the first Azerbaijani championship is officially announced.

1993

February 21 - Winner of the first-ever Azerbaijan Super Cup.

1995

May 28 - lifted the Azerbaijan Cup for the first time.

July 23 - won the Azerbaijan Super Cup for the second time.

August 10 - Played in European Cups for the first time, starting in the UEFA Cup Winners' Cup.

June 12 - won the Azerbaijani championship for the second time.

May 24 - became the champion of Azerbaijan for the third time.

August 30 - For the first time in the history of Azerbaijani football, it qualified for the group stage of the UEFA Europa League.
