Today, the sports director of Neftchi PFC, veteran football player Jeyhun Sultanov turns 41. Sultanov, born in 1979, played for Neftchi in the 1997/1998 season. He played for Farid (1996-1997), Dinamo (1998-2001), Mashinsazi (Tabriz, 2003-2004), Baku (2004-2007), Khazar Lankaran (2007-2010), He also played for Kapaz (2010-2012), Sumgayit (2012) and Gabala (2013). Jeyhun Sultanov is the winner of the Azerbaijani championship (2006, 2007) and cup (2005, 2007, 2008). Sultanov, who was the captain of our U-21 national team, played 16 games for the Azerbaijani national team in 1998-2007 and scored one goal.

The 41-year-old specialist worked as a selection coach in "Baku" (2013-2014) and general manager in "Sumgayit" (2014-2018). Since February 2018, he is the sports director of "Neftchi".
